Lisa and Ian met in Nashville in 2014 while Ian was working at his first job out of college at a music marketing agency and Lisa was working at her first internship at an artist management company. The two shared a few clients and would collaborate on occasion. It was during these cubicle chats that Ian and Lisa started to get to know each other. Ian was instantly smitten, but Lisa needed some persuading.

When Lisa moved on to her next internship, the two kept in touch, occasionally grabbing lunch with their mutual friend Chelsea. A year rolled by, and the three friends reunited on Lisa’s 21st birthday, which quickly transformed into Ian and Lisa’s first date. The night started off with fancy cocktails at The Patterson House and accidental footsies under the cozy table. At the end of the night, the pair shared their first kiss on the steps outside the bar and the rest is history.

Since that fateful night, Ian and Lisa have advanced in their careers, moved into a house together in East Nashville, and adopted four adorable kitties - sisters Nilla and Boocha and brother-sister duo Bunny and Mochi. They love going on adventures and have hiked all over the country - from the Flat Irons in Colorado to Looking Glass Rock in North Carolina to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. On their very first camping trip as a couple, they got stuck in a hail storm while hiking Clingman’s Dome, the highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains. After nearly getting hypothermia and hitchhiking back to their car, it became apparent that the relationship could hold up to even the strongest storms.
